Words can't express how AMAZING Kim is!! I'm a first time buyer, so needless to say, I was a bit overwhelmed at times. She was patient with me and explained everything I needed to know. Sometimes multiple times. She never made me feel judged for being nervous and anxious. She helped me get set up with the app so I could look at homes, sometimes before they even hit the open market. Kim is a one-of-a-kind realtor. When illness required my wife and I to move her sister from Algonquin, IL to St. Paul, MN the task seemed overwhelming. It's 400 miles from place to place and we thought we'd be on the road back and forth taking care of all sorts of mind numbing details. But Kim took charge from day one. She figured out what needed to be done and got the house in selling condition ASAP -- no small task since it needed roofing, painting, cleaning, and more. We met with Kim Kern for the first time on a Monday evening in our home. We had prepared our home, so we believed it was ready to sell. Kim walked through our home with us and made one suggestion, which we immediately updated according to her suggestion. We had no idea what price we should ask for our home, but Kim guided us through that step as well. She first informed the realtors in our area that our home was up for sale while she began the advertising, the picture taking, and the gathering of information to present the home well in our MLS listing. Kim is a top-rated professional, which is hard to find. We were lucky meeting & working with her. At the time of purchase, we were newbies in terms of the main things to know/watch when buying a house, nothing to say about procedures. Kim is everything you want in a realtor: knowledgeable and honest. I am a single mom and Kim helped me and my five-year-old son get our dream home. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, just what I didn’t want. Kim never made me feel like I was wasting her time while I looked at tons of houses all the way from St. Charles to Crystal Lake. What I appreciate about Kim is that she always presents you with options. That same day I had a death in my family so I could not address house tasks for about a week. Without me asking, by the end of the day Kim had texted me with a quote for the duct work and asked if I wanted to her to call a few more companies to compare prices. She never mentioned that this went above and beyond her responsibilities as a realtor, but I know it did, and her help and kindness was greatly appreciated. If I were to ever sell my home, I would want Kim to sell it. If I ever bought another home, I would immediately call Kim. She is just darn good at what she does.
